Mark Anastasio, Ph.D.
Scientific Advisor (Algorithms)
Dr. Anastasio earned his PhD degree at the University of Chicago in 2001 and is currently a professor of Biomedical Engineering at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Anastasio is an internationally recognized expert on tomographic image reconstruction, imaging physics, and the development of novel computed biomedical imaging systems. He has conducted pioneering research in the fields of photoacoustic computed tomography, diffraction tomography, and X-ray phase-contrast imaging. He is on the Journal of Biomedical Optics and Medical Physics editorial boards, the SPIE Photonics West Photon Plus Ultrasound Conference organizing committee and the OSA FiO program committee.
Stanislav Emelianov, Ph. D.
Scientific Advisor (Biomedical Applications)
Dr. Emelianov is a professor of E&CE and Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech. He is also appointed at the Emory University School of Medicine, where he is affiliated with Winship Cancer Institute, Department of Radiology, and other clinical units. Dr. Emelianov is Director of the Ultrasound Imaging and Therapeutics Research Laboratory at Georgia Tech where he focuses on the translation of diagnostic imaging, therapeutic instrumentation and nanobiotechnology for clinical applications. He is the editor of Photoacoustics and appointed to the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control (VP from 2011-2014).
Wolfgang Albers, MBA

Mr. Albers holds degrees in Business Administration and Information Science. During his career he served as a consultant for different industries on how to manage change in a competitive environment. He is a founder of ConVista Consulting, a consulting company which is based in Germany and has subsidiaries all over the world. He and his team managed to grow the company from the ground up with an annual revenue of $100 million and 700 employees. In 2017 the founders sold Convista to an investment company. Dr. Albers is now advising start-ups on how to grow their businesses and serves as an investor for Photosound Technologies.
Tom Miller, BS Chemistry
Business Development Advisor
Mr. Miller has managed the manufacturing of integrated circuits for Texas Instruments, the installation and servicing of leading communications equipment for Motorola Communications and Electronics, and, for the past thirty years, the design and development of medical devices. He was the executive vice-president of Fairway Medical Technologies where he worked with over 70 new or updated devices, and he was most recently the president of Seno Medical Instruments, which is developing the first clinical imaging device to use photoacoustics. His earlier life included the operation and maintenance of nuclear reactors on U.S Navy submarines.
